PROMOTING GLOBAL OPERATIONS GROUP UKRAINE AID ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Global Operations Group Ukraine Aid, Inc., is a U.S. based 501(c)(3)* charitable non-profit foundation with a mission to support the Ukrainian people during the current military attack by Russia. The fundamental goal is to rapidly provide funds and supplies for humanitarian and survival needs to those who need it the most.

In May of 2022, GOG Ukraine Aid was seeking ways to share the mission and generate interest and potential fundraising opportunities. They reached out to Klik Digital to help with this task.

BACKGROUND

On February 24, 2022, the Russian military invaded Ukraine and began their onslaught on civilian apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure. This caused devastating losses to both the infrastructure and people of Ukraine.

Global Operations Group Ukraine Aid, Inc., a U.S. based 501(c)(3)* charitable non-profit foundation was established to rapidly provide funds and supplies for humanitarian and survival needs for the people of Ukraine.

To expand its reach and garner as much support as possible for the Ukrainian community, GOG Ukraine Aid wanted to expand their marketing to social media which has a tremendous presence, especially involving humanitarian efforts. In May of 2022, a social media campaign was started.

STRATEGY

The strategy included increasing the awareness of the organization and attracting more donations through the website and different social media accounts including Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Additionally, we applied for and got access to the Facebook fundraising tools. The overarching goal was to promote the nonprofit and legitimize its efforts, while also finding ways to raise funds for the Ukrainian people. Accounts were set up and content was posted. The work of this nonprofit will continue to be posted and shared, as long as humanitarian efforts are needed.
