City Builders, LLC is a Baltimore based exterior remodeling and roofing contractor headquartered on South Charles Street. Although the firm was formally established in 2018 by owner Roger Shiflett, its leadership team draws on more than 40 years of hands-on roofing and construction knowhow.
Today City Builders offers a full suite of exterior services—including flat and shingle roof replacement, decks, skylights, siding and gutters—and backs every project with a “done right the first time” promise designed to keep the homeowner’s experience as stress free as possible. The company’s MHIC licensed crews have completed more than 30,000 installations across 12 Maryland service areas, earning City Builders an A rating and BBB accreditation (2023) for dependable workmanship and customer care.

City Builders LLC had an existing website, but it didn’t meet their performance or business needs. One of the primary challenges was unreliable email delivery, caused by issues with their previous hosting provider—disrupting communication with potential customers. Additionally, their complex site suffered from very low page speed, which negatively impacted user experience and search engine rankings. City Builders also wanted to enhance their site with a dedicated testimonials and reviews page, along with a custom popup and new homepage content blocks to better showcase their services and build trust with visitors.
At the core, City Builders needed a website that reflected the professionalism and quality of their craftsmanship, ranked well in local search results, and most importantly, converted visitors into booked roof inspections and home improvement projects.
